Kenneth Schaffer - General Manager/ Linesman Coach
Kenn has been a member and supporter of Iowa’s first women’s football team for nearly seven years. He was a member of the original coaching staff, when the Crush was known as the Courage. Kenn states that his involvement with the team is extremely important to him and he feels, “even though the team has gone through a few name changes, there’s still a solid core of veteran players that keep it going and keep it interesting.”
Kenn began his football career in high school where he was both an offensive and defensive lineman. He later joined the United States Army and stated, “I’ve had many jobs in my life but the one I enjoyed the most was serving in the Army. It was by far the most challenging and fun job I have ever had. Currently, Kenn is in his senior year in the Environmental Science program at Iowa State University. The Crush is proud to have Kenn as a member of the staff, and would like to thank him for his service to our country!

Michael Dale - Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator
Coaching: Entering his 2nd year as the head coach of the Iowa Crush. He has accumulated 6 years of coaching experience; starting as an assistant offensive/defensive line coach at Johnston High School from 2005-2007. He moved on to the same position at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines in 2008. In 2009 he was promoted to Head Sophomore coach where he led the Roughriders to a metro conference championship with an undefeated league record of 4-0-1.
College: Letter winner that played on the offensive line at Drake University from 2002-2005. He was a member of the 2005 Pioneer Football League championship team that finished with a 10-2 record.
High School: 2 time letter winning offensive/defensive lineman at Davenport West High School in Davenport, IA. He earned 2001 Quad City Area All Metro honors as an offensive guard, and was a Mississippi Athletic Conference All Conference Offensive Lineman in 2002. |

Coach Eric Rothwell - Offensive Line Coach
College: Had stellar career as offensive lineman at the University of Iowa from 1999-2003. Started 12 of 13 games for the Hawkeyes in 2003, including two at right guard, two at left guard and the final seven at center. Was the starting center for every game in Iowa's 10-3 season, including their Outback bowl victory over Florida. High School: Eric lettered three times as an offensive and defensive lineman at McFarland High in McFarland, WI. Named first team all-state both junior and senior seasons. Named first team all conference in both junior and senior season. Named team MVP twice. Also lettered in track and field and wrestling, where he also qualified as a state finalist. |
